Food supplement in the form of a hard capsule containing potassium in the highly absorbable form - potassium citrate. The optimal level of potassium is necessary for the normal functioning of the organs.

Potassium should be supplied with the diet. It can be found in many foods, both plant and meat. The main sources of this mineral are fruits and vegetables - e.g. potatoes, broccoli, tomatoes, spinach, bananas, apples and dried apricots and plums. It can also be easily supplemented by eating bs or legumes (e.g. bs and lentils), dairy products (e.g. yoghurt), fish, meat and nuts. Consumed potassium is absorbed mainly in the small intestine in about 90%, which makes it relatively easy to maintain its proper concentration in cells.

Hypokalaemia, or potassium deficiency, can cause a number of distressing symptoms e.g.: constipation, fatigue, muscle weakness and general malaise. In a more advanced stage, breathing difficulties, polyuria and cardiac arrhythmias may occur.

In maintaining the unwavering balance of the body, supplements (which are valuable support, e.g. when using an elimination diet) often prove to be helpful, thanks to which you can avoid the undesirable symptoms associated with a deficiency of potassium.
